Disney is reportedly in the process of bringing back another show! We are looking forward to seeing all entertainment return.
Shows returning
When Disney World reopened last July, entertainment was huge piece of the puzzle that was missing. Character meets, shows, and nighttime fireworks have all impacted us in so many ways.
Fortunately, some things are returning! Of course, we have our nighttime entertainment in 3 of the 4 theme parks. In fact, we have two new shows debuting this week!
Many shows, like Frozen Singalong and Celebration of the Lion King, have returned to Disney World. However, others like Indiana Jones and Enchanted Tales with Belle, still remain unavailable.
Finding Nemo the Musical will return in a modified format to Animal Kingdom sometime in 2022.
Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular
As mentioned above, a few shows have not returned. One of those includes Indiana Jones at Hollywood Studios. Disney World is rumored to be working towards reopening this show. The space first sat empty and then became a relaxation zone.
Then, relaxation zones went away earlier this summer and the space is empty again.
It will likely return in a modified format. Like most other shows that have returned, proper physical distancing and other safety measures will need to be in place to protect actors and performers.
We do not have word yet on when the show will return, but with the 50th anniversary LITERALLY THIS WEEK!! we will probably see something sometime this winter or early spring.
Other shows that have not returned yet
Two shows that stick out to me that have not returned (or been announced) are Voyage of the Little Mermaid in Hollywood Studios and Enchanted Tales with Belle in the Magic Kingdom.
Hopefully, the return of those two shows can pick up speed, or Disney can announce if something else will take their place.
