Guests of EPCOT received a surprise performance during Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebration.
Mickey’s PhilarharMagic
Last month was Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month, and Disney was celebrating throughout the theme parks and resorts!
The celebration has not ended either because guests are seeing a lot more “Coco” in the theme parks, and pretty soon in the Magic Kingdom. Mickey’s Philharmagic is a 3D film that can be seen in Fantasyland inside Magic Kingdom. Although Donald tries to steal the show, Mickey is the true star!
Guests are taken on an adventure through classic Disney films as Donald tries to regain Mickey’s Sorcerer’s hat. Lion King, Little Mermaid, Aladdin…all the classic 90s era movies are there!
Earlier, we shared that the show would be receiving a new Coco scene. The “Un Poco Loco” scene from in Mickey’s PhilharMagic in Magic Kingdom Park will debut November 12!
Mickey’s Philharmagic is currently closed and will reopen to Guests on November 12.
To prepare for the new scene, Mickey’s Philharmagic is now officially under refurbishment and will reopen in mid-November. To see a list of all of the latest refurbishments, take a look at this post HERE.
Surprise Guest
Last week, Anthony González, who gave his voice to Miguel in the animated film “Coco” visited EPCOT with his family. His family was able to partake in all of the fun anniversary festivities.
According to Disney Parks Blog, during his visit to Walt Disney World Resort last week, guests were delighted with a surprise performance from Anthony and Mariachi Cobre at EPCOT. They performed beloved songs from the film such as “Un Poco Loco,” “Remember Me,” and “The World es Mi Familia.”
What a special treat! He and his family also enjoyed seeing “Coco” featured in the new nighttime spectaculars, including “Harmonious“ and “Disney’s Enchantment“ over in the Magic Kingdom.
He and his family also made sure to admire the statues of Coco in Disney’s Fab 50 Character Collection at EPCOT.
