Although we are still well into the Boo Bash celebrations, Walt Disney World is already making plans for the holiday season. Check out the return of a holiday favorite tradition located in EPCOT.
Holiday Celebrations Return to Walt Disney World
Last year’s holiday offerings were very scaled back compared to previous years. No Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and no Candlelight Processional were just a few of the ways Disney cut back.
This year we already see decorations being hung in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Yes, you heard that correctly. Holiday decorations are already in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
A new show was also announced that will make this year’s Mickeys’ Most Celebration even more magical. Not only will we have Christmas parades and fireworks, but we will also have the usual After Hours offerings like low wait times and free snacks. You can read all about what to expect at Very Merriest HERE.
EPCOT
The holiday season is truly magical at EPCOT. Last year looked quite different, but this year all of our favorite holiday favorites can be enjoyed once again. One of my favorite aspects of the Festival of the Holidays at EPCOT is the storytellers.
What exactly is a Holiday Storyteller? These are the performers staged in countries around the World Showcase during the festival. They interact with Guests and share customs and stories from the country they represent. They create an authentic experience for those looking to learn more about the countries!
Recently we shared that a job listing could imply that Holiday Storytellers would return this year. Today, Walt Disney World confirmed that costumed Storytellers would interact with Guests in all 11 nations around World Showcase.

We are also excited to learn that the Candlelight Processional will be star-studded event again this year. Guests can enjoy all of the great Festival of the Holiday celebrations starting November 26th through December 30.
What do you think of the return of the Holiday Storytellers? Do you enjoy visiting the Festival of the Holidays? Which is your favorite land to visit for the holidays? Share your thoughts with us on our Facebook Page.
