Disneyland’s top tier Magic Key, the Dream Key, is now sold out. Read on for details.
Magic Key Program
When Disneyland announced their new Magic Key program to replace annual passes, the fine print said that the Keys could potentially sell out. Now, the top tier Magic Key, the Dream Key, which does not have blackout dates is sold out.
Like Walt Disney World, Disneyland ceased annual pass sales in the wake of the pandemic. But, unlike their east coast counterpart, Disneyland remained closed for over a year. Disneyland announced the Magic Key program earlier this year as a replacement for the discontinued annual pass program.
As you can see in the picture above, there are various tiers available for those wanting to hold a Key to Walt’s park. The passes begin at $399 and go up to $1399 with various perks added and more park pass reservations as the price increases.

Dream Key Sells Out
The Orange County Register reports that as of today, the Dream Key has sold out.
The Dream Key doesn’t have blackout dates, but some Dream Key holders have expressed frustration at the lack of park pass availability, which effectively causes them to be blacked out when they paid for no blackout dates.
Other Magic Key types
Disneyland told the Register that it will continue to sell the other Magic Key types and will continue to monitor those sales to ensure the best guest experience. If you’ve been thinking about buying a Magic Key to Disneyland, maybe this is a good time to buy in case the other tiers sell out as well.
So far, none of the Disney World annual pass types have sold out. With four parks as compared to two, it’s been easier for passholders to secure park pass reservations.
