Breaking: Royal Sightings Today at Magic Kingdom

Today at the Magic Kingdom we spotted some royals we hadn’t seen inside in awhile. Read on for details.

Character “Sightings”

Excitement in the Magic Kingdom today: Royal character “greetings” returned! Who can you take a selfie with now? We reported last week that character greetings on the My Disney Experience app and website had changed the language from “greetings” to “sightings”.

Whatever they’re calling it, Characters have returned for guests to take selfies with indoors today! We covered that the main mouse himself, Mickey, is posing for pictures in the Town Square Theater!

But, some other characters have returned as well!

Princess Spotting

Kenny the Pirate also stopped by Princess Fairytale Hall in Fantasyland this morning! There, he saw all four princesses that met in the hall prior to the Covid closure last year! He met Tiana and Rapunzel first.

The greetings still occur with distance between the guests and the characters. However, this is a step in the right direction towards regular character greetings!

Guests can pose for a selfie with each character. If you have a large group, you’ll want to get creative to get everyone in the shot! None of the newly reopened greetings have photopass photographers. Guests will use their own camera.

Lightning Lane?

These meets previously had FastPass opportunities for guests wanting to skip the line. However, they have not been added to the list of Lightning Lane attractions.
