Holiday fireworks are returning, and boy, are we happy about that! Here is how you can see them without needing a ticket to Very Merriest After Hours.
Christmas Fireworks
One of the most appealing offerings that will be available at Very Merriest After Hours is the Christmas fireworks. Well, that and of course the holiday parade! Disney did not run these last year due to limited entertainment.
If you are unfamiliar with Very Merriest After Hours (VMAH), it is kind of like Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in that it is a special ticketed event to celebrate the holidays. There will be holiday fireworks and parades as well as low wait times and free food.
You can see all the similarities and differences in the two events HERE. We will have more to share after the first event!
The Christmas fireworks show will only run on Very Merriest nights. However, there is a way to see them without a ticket!
Testing
Magic Kingdom will be doing fireworks testing tonight, October 28, at 11 pm. With the first event coming up in less than two weeks, they may even test on multiple nights.
If you are staying at or visiting a monorail resort, you should get a pretty decent view of the fireworks!
Magic Kingdom will test holiday works at 11 pm tonight, October 28.
At Disney’s Contemporary Resort, I would suggest viewing from the bridge that connects the resort to Bay Lake Tower. If you are lucky to have a theme park view at either one, you can watch from the comfort of your room!
Disney’s Polynesian Resort and and Grand Floridian both have sandy beaches and theme park views from various spots around the resorts. If you are willing to stay up until 11 pm, you can catch a glimpse of the merriest fireworks to ever fill the sky!
See more spots for viewing fireworks outside the theme parks HERE.
More Testing?
As I mentioned above we may see even more testing as Disney prepares for Very Merriest events. We will be sure to update you so you can prepare accordingly!
