Did you enjoy Luca? If so, you might enjoy this sneak peek of Disney’s new short!
Luca
Earlier this year, Disney sent Luca, a full length animated film straight to Disney+. This was a fun treat for subscribers as there have been other releases such as Raya and the Last Dragon that came behind a $30 paywall.
Luca is a fun story about a young sea monster who loves to visit the surface. There, he befriends a host of delightful characters including Alberto, the star of the new Disney short, which serves as a “sequel” to the film.
Ciao Alberto
Disney+ is treating us to a new Luca animated short called Ciao Alberto! The story picks up after the conclusion of the feature length film.
The action focuses on Alberto, who has settled into life in Portorosso. We see him writing a letter to Luca, who is off to school.
Luca fans probably remember that during the movie, Luca’s pal Alberto also forges a special bond with Massimo. This gruff character is father to their friend Giulia.
Massimo has since given Alberto a job. And, Alberto wants to write to tell Luca all about it!
A Sneak Peek
Now, Disney+ and Pixar have teamed up to give us a sneak peak at the short! You can watch it right here in the post in the video above.
I am excited to see it. I really enjoyed Luca and think this looks like a short, sweet follow up that the whole family can watch together.
When and Where to Watch!
You can watch the short on Disney+ in the comfort of your own home. The short is set to drop on Disney+ Day!
Disney+ Day is a celebration of the streaming giant’s second anniversary. It will occur on November 12, 2021. Ciao Alberto and other content will be available that day.
