Twinkling lights, snow on Main Street, and very low waits! Disney is debuting a brand new event this Christmas season.

The event will take place on 24 select nights Nov. 8 through Dec. 21 from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. This year’s holiday celebration is truly once in a lifetime, coinciding with the Walt Disney World 50th anniversary – “The World’s Most Magical Celebration.”

November: 8, 9, 11, 12, 14, 16, 18, 19, 21, 23, 28, 30

December: 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10, 12, 14, 16, 17, 19, 21

Not only will we have Christmas parades and fireworks, but we will also have the usual After Hours offerings like low wait times and free snacks. You can read all about what to expect at Very Merriest HERE.

Entertainment Schedule

Disney has already released the entertainment schedule for the event. Many of the same offerings that we had for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will also be available at Very Merriest. The stage show is different but is somewhat of a compilation of past shows.

The Reindeer Wranglers, Christmas parade, Christmas fireworks, and the Club Tinsel dance party are all set to take place. Check out the schedule for all offerings HERE.

Character Sighting Locations

We now have a bit more insight into where we can see our favorite holiday friends. Here is the full list plus my (Monica) guesses for which characters will be meeting in each location.

  • Town Square Theater: Mickey Mouse (hopefully in his Christmas outfit!)
  • Crystal Palace: Pooh and Friends, Peter Pan and Wendy, or Alice
  • Pirates Stage: Captain Jack Sparrow or Moana
  • Frontierland Balcony: Chip & Dale
  • Liberty Square Gazebo: Mary Poppins and Bert
  • Princess Fairytale Hall: Cinderella, Elena, Rapunzel, and Tiana
  • Near the Tomorrowland Stage: Buzz and Stitch

Don’t quote me on those, but these guesses are based off where these characters currently meet (or met in the past).

Cookies & Cocoa

The traditional After Hours events include bottled soda, popcorn, and Mickey bars, and Very Merriest events will also receive those items at no extra cost.

However, Guests enjoying the event will also receive complimentary snickerdoodle cookies and cocoa! These aren’t the best tasting cookies, but it’s nice to take a quick break. Here is where you can find these treats:

  • Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe
  • Columbia Harbour House
  • Pinocchio Village Haus
  • Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe

Allergy-friendly options are also available; just ask for them!

Arriving and departing

Guests may enter the event as early as 7:00 pm and check in at the main entrance. Guests will receive a wristband to differentiate themselves from day Guests.

If you are already in the park, you can check in beginning at 7:00 at the Tomorrowland stroller parking (across from Monsters Inc Laugh Floor) or Tortuga Tavern in Adventureland.

Day guests will still be in the park, but attraction entrances will close to them at the posted closing time. Wait times may be a bit higher so this would be a good opportunity to watch Enchantment (it will run even on event nights!), catch a show, or do some shopping.

Transportation will be available for up to 2 hours following the event, but bus and ferryboat will be your only options. This means the monorail will not be running, so take that into account if you are staying near the Magic Kingdom.
