Did you think you would need a virtual queue to meet Santa? Well you will at this one location at Disney World.
Santa Sightings
What trip to Disney is complete without meeting Santa Claus? This will surely look different than previous years as social distancing and mask wearing continue to be implemented throughout Disney.
First, the Santa Claus Merry Motorcade at Hollywood Studios will be happening again this year. See more photos of this HERE. Second, Santa will be in the flotilla at Animal Kingdom. See more photos from last year HERE.
The experiences at Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom will be socially distanced and more of a “passing by” encounter versus the ones elsewhere. We are looking forward to a more normal holiday experience compared to last year, however.
Third, he can be spotted at Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Disney Springs in various places. Guests will have individual time to meet and share wishes with Santa in these locations.
Santa is greeting Guests from afar at Very Merriest After Hours, in The American Adventure at Epcot, at Disney Springs.
Disney Springs
At Once Upon a Toy in Disney Springs, Guests can join a virtual queue from November 12 to December 24 to meet Santa. From November 12 to December 14, he will be out from 10 am to 9 pm. From December 15 to December 24, you can find him greeting folks from 10 am to 11 pm.
However, you won’t be able to simply walk up to Santa! You will need to join a virtual queue. In previous years, you would receive a return time by signing up via text message. Now everything is done right in the My Disney Experience app.
The queue opens at 9 am and 4 pm, and you must be at Disney Springs to join.
Some other guidelines
Not only will you have to have a group in order to meet Santa, but there are some other guidelines. Masks are required since this is an indoor meet, and physical distancing is in place. This means no hugs or photos right next to Santa.
PhotoPass photographers will be there to capture your photos, and you can purchase prints if you wish.
