Are you excited for more entertainment to return to Walt Disney World? Auditions for two returning Disney shows are now taking place.
Entertainment Returning
“The magic is calling” at Walt Disney World and we are so excited for it. Guests can now enjoy character sightings at Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios along with fun Character Cavalcades in Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom has seen the return of a great stage show that has been reimagined and received a new name. The Celebration of the Festival of the Lion King is still a “must do” for my (Donna) family’s touring plans. Disney’s Animal Kingdom has introduced a new show Disney’s KiteTails to the delight of Guests.
New Casting for Animal Kingdom
Earlier this month we shared that the previous “Finding Nemo: The Musical” in Disney’s Animal Kingdom would be reimagined. This new show will welcome Guests under a new name, “Finding Nemo: The Big Blue and Beyond.”
We were excited to hear that this show would be returning in 2022, and today we see promise that this show may be returning very soon. Currently Disney Casting is looking for the following roles:
- Nemo: Early 20s. Plays youthful boy. Adorable, endlessly curious, spirited, childlike and fearless, yet at the same time native and vulnerable. Bright and youthful mix or belt. Vocal Range Ab3-Eb5
- Ensemble: Musical theatre style. Strong vocalist and mover, with strong storytelling ability. Casting will have an intentionally inclusive BIPOC approach. Ensemble characters will be realized by a diverse array of puppetry styles, including rod, bunraku and hand puppetry.
New Casting for Magic Kingdom
We were so excited to share with you that a new stage show would be coming to the Magic Kingdom. A new stage show at Cinderella Castle is coming to Magic Kingdom! It is titled “Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire” and will celebrate Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary.
Casting is currently underway for this new show for several roles. “Dancers with great technique who are proficient in musical theatre and jazz style dance. All dancers must be solid in lifts and partnering. Male identifying dancers who have strong tap and/or tumbling skills a plus!”
This sounds like it will be a wonderful show. Currently casting for both “Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire” and “Finding Nemo: The Big Blue and Beyond” is currently underway. At the beginning of 2022, applicants can expect callbacks.
Although Walt Disney World has not announced definite dates for these shows, it sounds as if Guests may enjoy these soon into the new year.
