Mobile Checkout

When Walt Disney World reopened in July 2020, Guests were encouraged to go contactless when paying. Guests were encouraged to mobile order from select quick service locations. At the end of 2020, Guests were even given the option to complete a mobile checkout of merchandise.

At select stores, guests can scan items and check out using your mobile app! The steps are very similar to going to your local grocery store and using their app to pay. Once you’ve entered a store using mobile checkout, grab a designated mobile checkout shopping bag. Then, go to your Disneyland or My Disney Experience app. Select the “Shop in Store – Now Testing” by selecting the large + on the bottom of the screen.

From there, select your store.  Then, scan items as you add them to your bag. Once you’re finished shopping, tap “check out” to pay on your phone. Lastly, show your QR code to a Cast Member at the designated area near the exit.

Originally mobile checkout was only available at a few locations, but it is now available at a growing number of shopping locations. This is great news for Guests who would prefer to bypass a line at the cash register for their favorite Disney souvenirs.

In the Magic Kingdom, one of the most popular shopping locations is the Emporium. This is such a large store with a wide variety of merchandise. It also helps that this is close in proximity to the exit of the park.

Now you can choose to mobile checkout while in the Emporium. There are helpful signs to assist Guests with this mobile checkout process throughout the store. This couldn’t be easier.

With 5 available mobile checkout locations, simply checkout your items using your My Disney Experience app, store items in one of the available plastic bags at the informational signs, and you can even use available protective wrap for fragile items.

Guests can now checkout on their mobile device while shopping at the Emporium in Magic Kingdom.

Upon leaving the Emporium, simply show your QR code to a Cast Member as you leave. This is a great feature to help streamline shopping at the Emporium.
