Teen Gets A Special Invite From Disney

It is always great to see some Disney magic. This Massachusetts teen got some major pixie dust!

Luke Barry, from Mansfield Massachusetts, loves marching bands. He leads an annual Christmas-themed parade!

Jill Barry, Luke’s mother, says that he loves marching bands so much the he has asked for instruments for every Christmas and birthday since he was 2. Luke is almost 17 years old.

During the parade Luke, who has autism, shared “My favorite instrument over there is the trombone, I mean the snare drum.”

Extra Special Parade

This year’s parade was a little more special than previous years. Luke received a surprise invitation from none other than the Main Street Philharmonic!

The Main Street Philharmonic is Disney’s marching band at the Magic Kingdom. What a dream come true!

Dream Come True

Luke believed that the band was practicing for the annual parade. Check out the video below to see the invite!

In the video message the Main Street Philharmonic stated, “Since you love music as much as we do, we’d be honored if you would join us and march with us through the Magic Kingdom. See you real soon!”

Everyone shouted for joy! Luke’s mother said, “Luke just brings that out in everybody. Like, he is a parade. He, himself, is a parade.” Luke will leave for Walt Disney World to march with the Main Street Philharmonic on Saturday! And of course Luke shouted, “I’m going to Disney World!”

We are so excited for you, Luke, and can’t wait to see you walk down Main Street USA with the Main Street Philharmonic. You can catch the “Disney Parks Magical Christmas Parade” on Christmas morning.
