Some guests today received a fun surprise at their resort this morning! Were you one of them?
Christmas at Disney
Christmas time at Disney is magical! In fact, December is a great time to visit! Check out reasons why you might want to visit during this time HERE.
The theme parks are decorated throughout. This year, Magic Kingdom is holding their Disney Very Merriest After Hours event. Check out Donna’s review of the event HERE. At the time of writing only ONE event date remains! All other dates have SOLD OUT.
Guests visiting EPCOT can enjoy the Festival of the Holidays. If you visit, take advantage of visiting all of the Holiday Kitchens, enjoying the Holiday Cookie Stroll, the return of the Candlelight Processional and beautiful holiday overlays for Living with the Land and you will not want to miss the holiday lights of Spaceship Earth.
If you head to Hollywood Studios, be sure to check out the vintage Christmas decor and Disney’s Animal Kingdom is one of the most unique parks to experience as their decorations are all themed towards animals.
Disney resorts
The great thing about Christmas at Disney is not only all of the festivities in the theme parks. The resorts also join in on all of the holiday fun!
One of Disney’s Christmas traditions is building incredibly themed gingerbread houses. This year, we were excited to see them return!
To find out where you can spot some of these beautifully themed gingerbread houses, check out this post HERE. My favorite thing this year is seeing all of the 50th anniversary touches that are featured this year.
Animal Kingdom Lodge
Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of the most unique resorts at Walt Disney World because there is no other resort quite like it!
I (Maggie) have had the privilege of staying at this beautiful resort a couple of times now and each time I left with wanting to stay a little longer.
Today, Disney Parks announced on their Facebook page that guests of the resort were greeted with a wonderfully “wild” holiday surprise!
The gingerbread baby giraffe greeted guests this morning and will be on display in the lobby from now through January 1st. This beautiful giraffe was made by Disney’s Pastry Chef Team.
What do you think of the gingerbread giraffe at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge? If you are staying at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, be sure to check it out and share your pictures with us on our Facebook page!
