New Genie+ at Disneyland on Inaugural Day Off to A Bumpy Start

Today is the debut of Disney Genie, Disney Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane at the Disneyland Resort and guests inside the park have encountered problems. Read on to learn what is occurring and what Disney is doing to solve the issues.

Disney announced two days ago that Disney Genie, Disney Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane would be arriving to the Disneyland Resort on Wednesday, December 8, 2021.

Many guests this morning were eager to purchase Genie+ and Individual Lighting Lane attractions as it was the first day of utilizing the platform.

Disney Genie, Disney Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane first launched previously at Walt Disney World back in October.

However, guests were in for quite the surprise when they attempted to purchase attractions and found the following message!

As the day progressed and guests continued to have problems utilizing Genie+ and Lightning Lane selection issues, Disney made the following announcement as noted in the above picture.

Disney also noted that recovery options were being provided to impacted guests for those that encountered problems during the day.

Here is to hoping that tomorrow will be a better day for Disney Genie, Disney Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane!
