Traveling throughout Walt Disney World requires a bit more than just pixie dust. Check out the transportation that has now returned to the delight of Guests.
Disney Transportation
The Walt Disney World Resort is HUGE and many questions revolve around what is the quickest mode of transportation to arrive to each Park. From the skyliner, buses, ferry boats, and of course the monorail there are many options for Resort Guests to arrive at each of the Walt Disney World Parks.
What about Guests who choose to drive to the Parks? Unfortunately, the parking trams have not been in service since the parks closed in March 2020. This added many additional steps for Guests parking vehicles at the Disney Park. But Christmas just came a bit early for Guests visiting the Magic Kingdom.
Parking Trams Return
Unfortunately, the parking trams were not in service since the parks closed in March 2020. Earlier this month, Walt Disney World shared that parking trams are returning! Specifically, they are returning to Magic Kingdom later this month! Then, in 2022 they will return to the other Disney World theme parks.
This joyous announcement was shared on the WDW Twitter account, “Driver you are clear…to spread a little holiday cheer! Parking trams will be returning to Magic Kingdom Park later this month and other Walt Disney World theme parks throughout 2022.”
After several days of hearing that the trams were being tested, today Guests were finally able to ride aboard. It is wonderful to see these smiling Cast Members once again at the Magic Kingdom.

It is truly the first form of transportation that many young Guests look forward when arriving to the Disney Parks. We look forward to the return of parking trams to the other Walt Disney World Parks in the New Year.
What do you think of the return of the parking trams? Do you think that they should have returned sooner? Do you usually drive to the Parks or do you use Disney transportation? Share your thoughts with us on our Facebook Page.
