Holiday crowds are flooding into Walt Disney World this week and wait times are up around the Parks. We were floored to see the current wait times in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
Holiday Crowds
Though the Christmas holiday has already come and gone, that does not mean the festivities have stopped at Walt Disney World. The last couple of weeks are historically the very busiest of the year crowd wise. Navigating heavy crowds can be challenging and a bit overwhelming, but with a great touring plan and strategy, it is still possible to enjoy your day!
Character Locator continues to offer great plans for Guests to Play more, Wait less. Fireworks have been confirmed for New Year’s Eve at both the Magic Kingdom and EPCOT. You can read more about that in this post HERE.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios will offer a great dance party and Guests can even enjoy a FREE event at Disney Springs. The Parks are truly magical during Christmas and the New Year, but how crowded are the Parks this week?

Many Guests debate paying the extra cost of Disney Genie+ and the price for Individual Lightning Lane attractions. Be sure to check out this honest review of Disney Genie+ HERE.
Guests may have a whole new appreciation for the Individual Lighting Lane for select attractions. Currently the wait time for Rise of the Resistance is at 245 minutes. Guests could wait over 4 hours for this one attraction.
Rise of the Resistance does offer the Individual Lighting Lane. Of course there are only a limited number of Individual Lightning Lane times available to purchase for this attraction each morning. Check out the Resort Guests advantage for this HERE.
Currently the wait time for Rise of the Resistance is at 245 minutes.
The wait times look a bit high for other fan-favorite attractions like a 160 wait time for Slinky Dog Dash and 95 minute wait time for Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run.
What do you think of the current wait times? Would you be willing to purchase the Individual Lightning Lane to bypass this extended queue line? Share your thoughts with us on our Facebook Page.
