We all understand that attractions may be temporarily unavailable and certain changes must be made even while at “The Most Magical Place on Earth.” We have all had a Disney trip where we may not be able to enjoy our favorite attraction due to technical delays.

There are many activities for Guests to enjoy throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. But what happens when you purchase tickets and the very show that you anticipate to see is cancelled mere minutes before the performance?

The newest show “Drawn to Life” is a first-ever collaboration of Cirque du Soleil and the Walt Disney Animation Studios. It is a “love letter to the art of Disney Animation.”

This show was set to debut on April 17, 2020. Due to Disney Park closures this premiere was postponed. After many postponements, this show finally debuted to Guests on November 18, 2021. Be sure to check out a fun sneak peek of this show HERE.

We have heard rave reviews of this new show. As Guests arrived at Disney Springs tonight (January 6) to enjoy this show, they were very disappointed.

The famous expression: “The show must go on” was not true tonight. “Drawn to Life” offers 2 showtimes at both 5:30pm and 8:30pm. Tonight, January 6th, Guests enjoyed “Drawn to Life” for the 5:30 performance.

Guests were lining up in Disney Springs for the 8:30pm showing only to be told 5 minutes prior to showtime that this showing was cancelled. Guests were not given a reason for this unexpected cancellation.

Those Guests with tickets for the 8:30pm showing were sent an email with refund/exchange information. If Guests purchased with a credit card directly through Cirque du Soleil (phone or web), these tickets will be refunded in full within 7-10 business days.
