Perhaps best known for his role as Danny Tanner in “Full House,” Bob Saget brought plenty of laughs and dad jokes to our homes in the 80s and 90s. Not only did he play the father to DJ, Stephanie, and Michelle but he also hosted America’s Funniest Home Videos.

Both series were owned by ABC, which is owned by The Walt Disney Company.

He was also a famed stand-up comedian although his jokes were definitely not Danny Tanner appropriate. He voiced the role of future Ted Mosby in How I Met your Mother among other movies and projects.

I loved watch Full House as a young kid in the early 1990’s. The wholesome storyline and laughter bring back so many fond memories of watching the show on Friday nights.

I also can’t tell you how many episodes my family watched of America’s Funniest Home Videos. These are all such sweet memories that make his death sting all the more.

Bob Saget was staying at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, Florida this weekend while in the area for a comedy show. Hotel staff found him unresponsive his room at approximately 4:00 pm local time on January 9, 2022.

When emergency responders arrived a short time later, they declared him deceased. At this time, no cause of death has been made public. He was only 65 years old.

He leaves behind a wife and three kids. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. May he rest in peace.
