Before fireworks returned nightly, Disney World tested fireworks on and off for several months. However, this testing was due to the show not being released yet for the 50th Anniversary. Since then, guests delight in “Enchantment” and “Harmonious.”

Testing includes burst fireworks both on the castle and other rooftops inside the park. Although it shouldn’t last long, guests staying nearby will hear them. If you’re lucky enough to stay at a Bay Lake Disney Resort, you may even catch a glimpse of them.

Now, Disney tests fireworks at Disney’s Magic Kingdom beginning at 12:45am on January 20. This testing takes place to prepare for the Disney World Cast Celebration. However, this event is limited to Cast Members working for ten or more years. It’s wonderful that they honor these Cast Members who have been making magic for so long.
