A New Mickey Mouse Special is Coming to Disney+

Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse

Back in November 2020, Disney released The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse to Disney+. These fun little shorts follow the adventures of Mickey and his friends.

It follows the same animation style used in Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Hollywood Studios. While many are not fans of this animation style, this is the new version Mickey Mouse we must get used to. It definitely reminds me of older versions from his earlier days.

Episodes include a disco night at the roller derby, Mickey and Minnie on a special date, and a game night put in jeopardy. There are 20 episodes in total so far.

The series was renewed for a second season in November 2021. It will consist of four extended-length specials centered around the season. The first is about to debut!

The Wonderful Winter of Mickey Mouse

The first in the extended-length specials is “The Wonderful Winter of Mickey Mouse.” It will debut on February 18, 2022 only on Disney+. You can see the poster for it above.

The special, as you can guess, resolves all things winter. Playing in the snow, retreating to a winter cabin, ice skating, and more provide a silly and chilly storyline. You will be sure to spot all your favorite characters in this special.

“The Wonderful Winter of Mickey Mouse” will debut on February 18, 2022 only on Disney+.

We can expect the other three specials to revolve around spring, summer, and fall. Disney has not announced when those will debut.
