Be prepared for a long wait for this popular Hollywood Studios attraction

One thing you’ll have to be prepared to do in Walt Disney World: wait. Even with the use of Lightning Lanes, sometimes attractions can see longer than normal waits for varying reasons. If you’re heading to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, pack your patience. You’ll need to be prepared for a long wait for this fan favorite attraction!

There are lines for everything in Walt Disney World! You’ll wait for transportation, you’ll wait to pick up your food, and you’ll wait to experience attractions!

Guests are relieved that Disney has introduced Lightning Lanes, which has taken the place of the former Fastpass+ system. When Guests purchase Genie+ for $15 per day, they’ll have access to Lightning Lanes, which will allow them to skip the standby line when experiencing their favorite attractions.

However, even with Genie+ and the use of Lightning Lanes, you may find yourself with longer than normal waiting times for some attractions. Guests in Hollywood Studios may be experiencing that for one of the Park’s most popular rides.

Going up? Hollywood Studios is home to The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. From Disney’s website:

Enter the rickety, elevator-style lift, strap yourself in and prepare to discover what lies beyond the darkest corner of your imagination. Shriek in terror as you’re suddenly propelled up and down the abandoned shaft—unexpectedly dropping and rising—as you hear the sound of cables snapping and metal clanging overhead.

Sound terrifying? Guests are experiencing long wait times for this popular attraction!

Cast Members in Hollywood Studios are announcing that half of the attraction’s elevators are currently down, which definitely impacts how long Guests will have to wait for their turn.

Tower of Terror has four elevators, which means only two of these are currently operating. This greatly reduces the attraction’s capacity, so you should prepare to wait to be terrified!

There is no word on how long the elevators will be down.
