Expect longer lines at this wildly popular Disney World ride! Check out all the details here to see if it will affect your plans.
Increased Wait Times
One thing you’ll have to be prepared to do in Walt Disney World: wait. Even with the use of Lightning Lanes, sometimes attractions can see longer than normal waits for varying reasons.
If you’re heading to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, its most popular thrill attraction is operating with limited capacity. Be prepared for a long wait! Earlier this week, we reported a guest favorite attraction also operated at reduced capacity HERE.
There are lines for everything at Disney World! You’ll wait for transportation, you’ll wait to pick up your food, and you’ll wait to experience attractions! Disney recently implemented the Lightning Lanes, which has taken the place of the former Fastpass+ system. When Guests purchase Genie+ for $15 per day, they’ll have access to Lightning Lanes, which will allow them to skip the standby line when experiencing their favorite attractions.
Still, there are continued technical glitches with this system. And, if rides partially or fully shut down, wait times increase for available rides.
Flight of Passage
Cast Members are announcing that Avatar Flight of Passage is operating at reduced capacity today, January 21. As a result, Cast Members share that guests wait will be longer than expected. We’re not sure what is causing the limited capacity. Perhaps a theater is not working?

Since Flight of Passage is the most popular attraction in Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park, expect guests to flock to other attractions seeking rides with less wait time. Hopefully this will not spill over to all rides having increased wait times.
