Enjoy Disney World theme parks even longer with these new changes

Seeing longer park hours for your dates is always an exciting part of planning your Disney World vacation. You can enjoy the parks even longer with these new changes.

Park Hours

Every few weeks our team at Kenny the Pirate shares the latest theme park hours that Disney releases. These initial hours are a great way to begin preparing for your trip, but oftentimes Disney World extends park hours.

This is even more exciting because you can plan what to do with all that extra time in the park! Maybe you want to enjoy a late night dinner reservation, or maybe you want to squeeze a few more rides into your day. Be sure to utilize Character Locator for all your planning!

Whatever the reason is, extended park hours are almost always a welcome change! Here are the latest updates we have to share with you this week.

Magic Kingdom

Guests will be able to enjoy more time in the Magic Kingdom with this new change:

February 9: the park closes at 9:00 pm instead of 8:00 pm. This means the Extended Evening Hours will run from 9:00 to 11:00 instead of 8:00 to 10:00.

February 12: Epcot now opens at 9:00 am (initially 10:00 am). This pushes Early Theme Park Entry up to 8:30 am.

Guests will be able to enjoy more time at Animal Kingdom with these new hours:

February 6: Animal Kingdom now opens at 8:00 am (initially 9:00 am). This pushes Early Theme Park Entry up to 7:30 am. Also on this date, the park closes at 8:00 pm instead of 7:00 pm.

February 10: The park now opens at 8:00 am instead of 9:00 am. Again, this means onsite Guests can enter as early as 7:30 am.

February 11 and 12: Onsite Guests will be able to enter at 7:30 am now, instead of 8:30 am because the park’s opening has moved up one hour to 8:00 am. Also, Animal Kingdom will now close at 8:00 pm instead of 7:00. Take that extra hour at night to explore Pandora. It’s beautiful at night!

Will you be at Magic Kingdom, Epcot, or Animal Kingdom on any of the above dates? What are your new plans? Let us know in the comments below and on Facebook!
