If you’re familiar with My Disney Experience, the app used to help plan and manage your Disney vacation plans, you’ll know that not all features are exactly user friendly. Now, the app has finally been updated and we love this user-friendly new option! Are you excited about the ease of this new feature?
My Disney Experience
When planning a trip and visiting Walt Disney World, My Disney Experience is your go to place for managing your trip. This app contains all of the things you will need to go about your day, like Genie+, a map of Walt Disney World, times for cavalcades, and more!
The app also includes things like information on your Resort stay, the ability to mobile order your meals at Quick Service restaurants, and an option for booking dining reservations.
For another great option, check out Kenny the Pirate’s Character Locator! Here you can find all of this, plus touring plans to help simplify your planning!
New user friendly update
One of the least user friendly aspects of My Disney Experience is the ability to find and connect to other Guests.
You will need to be “friends” on My Disney Experience with anyone in your travel party, so that you can connect dining reservations, Lightning Lane passes, and Individual Lightning Lane selections to them.
But finding these friends isn’t easy. Previously, Disney made you jump through all kinds of hoops just to find and then connect to these friends. It involved adding email addresses, names, ages, and all kinds of other information. Then, the friend had to approve you.
If you needed to make this connection quickly, well, that wasn’t happening.
Now, My Disney Experience has been updated to make it easier to connect with family and friends through the app.
My Disney Experience now includes a “linking code” feature that will allow you to easily connect with others.
Using it is so simple! We have been waiting for this to get easier!
You will open your QR linking code under My Profile. From there, a friend can scan it, and it will link your accounts to book Genie+, Lighting Lane, view Photopass photos, and more!
Will you be using the new QR linking code to link to your family and friends on My Disney Experience? Let us know in the comments below, or tell us on Facebook.
