A Disney World Motorcade comes to an end

Sometimes we have to say goodbye. A Disney World motorcade is coming to an end. Will you miss it or are you happy to see the parks return to normal?

Mini parades, called cavalcades, were Disney’s solution to the lack of parades and character meets. When the parks first reopened, that was the only way to meet characters.

Over time, more characters returned to the parks and cavalcades faded into the background. At every park, you can meet characters either at a restaurant or in a designated spot. Some parks have so many characters meeting now a cavalcade isn’t even necessary. For example, Disney completely eliminated cavalcades from Epcot.

Now, as more characters return to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, one motorcade is coming to an end.

Earlier this morning we shared that Mickey Mouse is returning to Hollywood Studios. He will begin meeting again very soon in his Sorcerer Apprentice outfit. Minnie Mouse joins him at Red Carpet Dreams. Goofy, Pluto, and Donald greet Guests from random spots around the park, too.

Therefore, it does not make sense for Disney to continue with the Mickey Motorcade. If you want to catch it one last time you have until February 12! Beginning February 13, Mickey will meet at Red Carpet Dreams, and this motorcade will end. The motorcade runs at 10:15 am, 11:15 am, 12:45 pm, 4:15 pm, and 5:15 pm.

What about the Pixar Motorcade?

With the Disney Junior characters meeting at Animation Courtyard and at Disney Junior Play and Dance, that motorcade is no longer available. Now with the Mickey motorcade also ending, the last one left is the Pixar Motorcade. This one includes characters like Woody and Buzz, Mikey and Sulley, and the Incredibles.

So far, no Toy Story characters have returned to Toy Story Land. I imagine they will sooner rather than later, and the Pixar Motorcade will come to an end. There’s just no telling when that may occur.
