Deconstructed Dish Food Studio
I (Donna) will admit that I was a bit skeptical of the Deconstructed Dish. Disney describes this booth as, “Rediscover your favorite dishes fragmented and presented as never before- like a BLT, French onion soup, and key lime pie.” Photos of dishes from this booth are simply breathtaking, but I wondered what these unique food items taste like.
I chose to try the French Onion Soup. This dish cost $6.50 and appeared very interesting. The base of this dish is that of sweet onions topped with Gruyere espuma. This was topped with onion bread pudding. A large beef broth filled ravioli was topped with a deep purple scallion.
I was excited to try this dish. As soon as I cut into the large ravioli, the dish was filled with the warm delicious beef broth. When mixed with the Gruyere espuma, the broth was rich and creamy. This was truly an explosion of flavors. In relation to all of the dishes that I tried while at the Festival of the Arts, this was, without a doubt, the best dish I enjoyed.
