After two long years of not having the tram at the Disneyland Resort, we can now provide an opening date of their return. Are you excited?
Tram Transportation
The pandemic brought about many changes once the Disneyland Resort reopened on April 30, 2021. One obvious experience that did not return was the trams that took guests from the main parking lot to the parks.
The return of the tram service had been previously announced for the parks at Walt Disney World, but nothing had been said about the Disneyland Resort. Today, Disneyland announced the return of the tram transportation service.
Re-Opening Day
Guests will once again hear the infamous words: “Driver, you are all clear,” from the Mickey & Friends and Pixar Pals Parking Structures to the main entrance between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure.
The Disneyland Resort’s Official page reads:
Tram service at the Disneyland Resort will resume operations on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, providing Guests with transportation from the Mickey & Friends and Pixar Pals parking structures to the Main Entrance Esplanade between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park.
Until that date, you can use a dedicated walkway from these parking structures to the parks. You may also park in the Toy Story Parking Area and utilize bus transportation or walk to the parks via Harbor Boulevard.
This is very exciting news for guests visiting the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California because the walk from the parking structure to the main entrance is two-thirds of a mile along the tram route! It’s a great precursor of getting in steps walking around the parks!
Are you excited to hear that the transportation trams at the Disneyland Resort will be returning on Wednesday, February 23, 2022. Tell us about it in the comments below or on our Facebook page.
