Disney recently released a new group of fun treats for the 50th Anniversary. Check out our review of the newest Dole Whip treat.
Newest 50th Snacks Released
At the start of the New Year, Walt Disney World held a vote for the newest group of 50th Anniversary snacks for Guests to enjoy. Disney’s Instagram followers vote were able to vote on the treat or dish they want to see next. At the end, voters definitely chose sweet over savory.
You can check out a full listing of all of these new snacks and treats HERE. These snacks and treats debuted in the Magic Kingdom on January 10th.
Check out our other 50th treat reviews released on this list: Always Tea Time Slush, Donald Duck dome cake, Slue Foot Sue fish sandwich, Haunted Mansion push pop, and Pinocchio Village Haus treats.
Aloha Isle
To find the new Dole Whip 50th Anniversary treat, head to Adventureland at Disney’s Magic Kingdom. Here, look for the very popular Aloha Isle quick service spot right beside the Enchanted Tiki Room.
Guests are given 2 options for ordering, mobile ordering and walking directly up to the window. Check out my (Susan) experience and ordering recommendation below.
Mobile Ordering
Placing my mobile order was simple. After My Disney Experience notified me that my order was ready, I looked for the Mobile Ordering line. However, this was extremely unorganized and confusing. Usually, guests go to a Cast Member who directs them to a nearby pick up window. This process left me stressed because nothing was clearly marked, Cast Members were not helpful, and there were people everywhere.
Finally, a fellow guest assisted me in finding the Mobile Ordering line. As you can see from the picture above, the line was quite long zig zagging around the front of the building. I figured out that since no Cast Member checked people in line, most of those waiting did not have their order ready yet.
This caused me to wait about 15 minutes to pick up my 50th Aloha Isle. Hopefully, in the future, Cast Members will check to ensure those with orders ready are the only ones in line. However, fellow KtP writer Maggie, shared that it’s usually unorganized at Aloha Isle.
Walk up Window
So, literally, the mobile line was TOO MUCH! It may seem trivial to be stressed waiting in line, but I struggle with anxiety and confusing situations like this affect me negatively. Is there a better way? YES! Check out the non-existent line to order directly at the Aloha Isle window above. I recommend trying this first depending on the line at Mobile Ordering.
Crooning Flowers Float
Check out the beautiful Crooning Flowers float above. The purple “feather” garnish is made of white chocolate. On top of this cold treat, Disney swirls a mix of lime and vanilla ice cream. Then, at the bottom is the traditional Dole Whip pineapple juice mixture.
Although I’m not a huge fan of pineapple (and most Dole Whip flavors), I really enjoyed the fresh taste of the lime added to the vanilla ice cream. It reminded me of lime sherbet and was refreshing. I would order this again, but just the ice cream swirl, not the pineapple.
