We have your daily Figment popcorn update, and if you wanted one today you need to read this!
Figment popcorn bucket
It’s been quite a journey for the Figment popcorn buckets. We knew this would be hard to get after seeing the bucket for the first time. Even with an increase in the pricing and the limits placed, no one was anticipating the excitement for it.
On the day it released (the start of Festival of the Arts), the line reached up to about 7 hours! The line snaked all throughout the park. We soon saw ebay listings for the bucket triple the price in the park.
Unfortunately, the bucket sold out on January 17. If you are keeping track that is only 3 days after the start of the festival. We have not seen them back in stock since then, but with just a few days left of the festival there is hope.
Mobile Order
Yesterday (February 14) the buckets popped back up in Epcot! Using mobile order this time, you could purchase your buckets without needing to wait in line.
Using MDE’s mobile order function, you could find the “Epcot souvenir release”, order up to 2 buckets, and head to the World Showplace when you were within your arrival window. For full steps, read HERE.
We praised Disney for coming up with a solution that did not involve hours of waiting in line, but we wondered how long it would last.
Today’s Update
According to MDE, the Figment popcorn buckets are once again sold out. When we tried to place the mobile order this morning, the notification reads:
We are sold out of the Figment Premium Popcorn Bucket. Please visit the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts for other Sips and Treats.
The Figment bucket is out of stock today, February 15.
This brings up a good tip: mobile orders can be placed well in advance, and you should do this for popular restaurants, and in this case, popcorn buckets. The festival ends later this week, so it does not seem likely any more will be stocked.
