Could we be seeing the release of the new MagicBands soon?

Could the new MagicBands be released soon? Here is why we think this is possible and we are hoping we are right!

Disney’s Fab 50 Character Collection

As part of Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary celebration, Disney’s Fab 50 Character Collection was revealed. The collection features 50 golden statues placed throughout each of the four theme parks.

To see a full list of all of the characters you can spot, check out this post HERE. As the anniversary date grew closer, a character was revealed one by one. Have you had fun spotting all of the statues throughout the parks?

New MagicBands

Disney announced a brand new interactive MagicBand just before the anniversary celebration. MagicBand+ will allow Guests to interact with the Fab50 character statues that can now be found in ALL 4 of the Theme Parks. This newly designed band will also light up and even vibrate depending on where you are located in the Parks.

It was also announced that guests could play games at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and that they would interact with nighttime spectaculars. However, not much more information was released and we are still waiting for the release.

In a recent survey to guests regarding MagicBands, we found out a hint as to how much these would cost and more of what to expect of these new MagicBands.

Another clue?

Now we have another clue to a possible release for the new MagicBand+.

Speakers have been spotted around various statues throughout the parks.

This would make sense to have speakers by each statue if guests are supposed to be able to interact with them.

On Disney’s website, it says the following about the Disney Fab 50 Character Collection:
