If you need to see magic at work in the world today, look no further. This is the best kind of story.
Make-A-Wish
The Make-A-Wish Foundation works to grant the wishes of children with critical illnesses. According to the foundation, “a wish renews hope, uplifts spirits and encourages the belief in the impossible.”
It is unsurprising that many children use their wishes to visit Walt Disney World. In fact, since 1980, Disney and the foundation have partnered to grant the wishes of over 145,000 children worldwide!
Star Wars Wishes
Not long ago, Chairman Josh D’Amaro shared some exciting gift-giving news. It was decided that children visiting through Make-A-Wish and other wish-granting organizations would be among the very first to board Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser.
By now, you have probably heard of the Star Wars hotel. Disney anticipates providing guests with a totally immersive Star Wars vacation including a two-night, cruise-style itinerary.
Here Guests become the hero of their own adventure in an experience that surrounds guests in Star Wars storytelling 24 hours a day! Guests will take a transporter to the Halcyon starcruiser where they will live out the story through character interactions, activities, and even special meals.
Of course, the journey also comes with a visit to Batuu where they will experience all Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge has to offer. This will include rides on Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.
This comes at a high price for most guests. But for these special children, the experience will be a wish come true!
A Big Surprise!
Over the past few weeks, Walt Disney World Ambassadors have been surprising children with happy news! They will be experiencing Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser! You can watch a video of one of the surprises right here! A very special Jedi received his wish!
We hope all of the families receiving Star Wars wishes have a fantastic voyage!
