Guests will experience magic like never before with this newly designed MagicBand. Check out this new design and learn more about these interactive features.
New Interactive MagicBands
Back in September 2021, the Walt Disney Company announced that they would redesign the classic MagicBand. The new MagicBand+ will allow Guests to interact with the Fab50 character statues that can now be found in ALL 4 of the Theme Parks. Check out how preparation can already been seen for the MagicBand+ in the Parks HERE.
This newly designed band will also light up and even vibrate depending on where you are located in the Parks. When this was first announced, we were told that pricing and purchase dates would be released at the end of 2021. Now that we are well into 2022 we still do not have dates and prices.
Interestingly enough, Disney has asked Disney Guests, via questionnaire, their thoughts regarding pricing of the new MagicBand+. We hope this is a positive sign that these will be available for purchase soon.
The newest MagicBand design for select Guests gives us hope for an interactive experience for even more Disney Guests in the near future.
New MagicBand Revealed
Guests will soon step aboard the brand new Galactic Starcruiser. Earlier this week, select media were able to be among the first to experience the Galactic Starcruiser. Thanks to instagram user, Francis Dominiic, we have our first look of the newest MagicBand for the Galactic Starcruiser.
Originally Disney coined the term DataBand to go along with the theme of Star Wars. This was later referred to as a MagicBand. What is interesting is that this MagicBand offers interactive features even outside of the Galactic Starcruiser.
Swipe to see the new band in the Instagram post below:
Disney shares the following for these new MagicBands, “MagicBands allow you to interact with sensors called access points onboard the Halcyon star cruiser, at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and throughout Walt Disney World Resort.”
“MagicBands allow you to interact with sensors called access points onboard the Halcyon star cruiser, at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and throughout Walt Disney World Resort.”
These interactive sensors sound very similar to the information that Disney released regarding the new MagicBand+. We can’t wait to hear about Guest’s experience aboard the Galactic Starcruiser and with these interactive MagicBands.
Do you have a trip planned aboard the Galactic Starcrusier? Do you think Disney is waiting for the opening of the Galactic Starcrusier to release more information for the MagicBand+? Share your thoughts with us on our Facebook Page.
