The Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser will welcome paying Guests aboard in a few days. We have details on how PhotoPass will work aboard the ship, the cost, and a personal photo session (at an additional cost, of course).
Galactic Starcruiser
This week select media have enjoyed the new Galactic StarCruiser ahead of Grand Opening. Curious what this experience may look like? Yesterday, KennythePirate shared an amazing video from his friend and media partner, Streaming the Magic. This is a great video if you are curious what this experience may be like and if it is worth the hefty price tag of the experience. Check out the video HERE.
You can also check out costumes to get in character, special MagicBands that are exclusively available for Galactic StarCruiser Guests, and the unique food as well.
PhotoPass Not Included
With a hefty price tag, one may assume that PhotoPass downloads would be included. Unfortunately, Guests will still need to purchase Memory Maker to download their photos from this unique experience. Photos will be available for Annual Passholders that have paid for the PhotoPass add-on to their Annual Pass.
Guests will still need to purchase Memory Maker to download their photos from this unique experience
In keeping with the Star Wars experience, PhotoPass photographers are referred to as Image Scanners. They will be located throughout the ship to capture photos of Guests. What if you want an individual photo session of this amazing experience? Disney has you covered, of course, but it will cost you.
CSL Portrait Experience
Guests may be familiar with the Capture Your Moment photo session that is currently available at Walt Disney World. Check out a review of this experience HERE. This service recently expanded to all 4 Theme Parks, and with this expansion came a price increase as well. Originally this was $50 for a 20 minute photo session.
Now Guests will pay $79 for the same experience. Of course, Guests must still purchase Memory Maker or have PhotoPass purchased with their Annual Pass to be able to download these photos.
Now Guests aboard the Galactic Starcrusier can have a similar experience, but it will cost you. The CSL Portrait Experience must be booked before your voyage. The session will last for 30 minutes and you can have photos taken at multiple locations throughout the ship. But the price is $99 for this experience.
Guests aboard the Galactic StarCruiser can book a CSL Portrait Experience for a 30 minute photo session at the cost of $99.
We assume (similar with Capture your Moment sessions) that photos from this photo session will only be available with the purchase of Memory Maker or for those Annual Passholders who purchased the Memory Maker add-on.
Do you think that this photos should be included in this extravagant voyage? Would you be willing to pay the additional price for the PhotoPass Memory Maker and/or for the CSL Portrait Experience? Share your thoughts with us on our Facebook Page.
