What happens when you mix the magic of Disney Parks with the magic of technology? You can see the stunning results for yourself.
Disneyland Paris Turns 30
As Disneyland Paris prepared to turn 30, the party plans ramped up. Disney pulled out all the stops bringing magical details to the park to commemorate the celebration.
Some of the ideas for the celebration have been unanimously enbraced. Others, like Minnie’s new pantsuit, have been quite polarizing.
Special Show Added for the Occasion
To commemorate the celebration, Disneyland Paris added a show to its nighttime spectacular lineup called Disney D Lights. The show lasts about 4 minutes, and it proceeds fan-favorite Disney Illuminations.
The Disneyland Paris website says, “prepare to be amazed as this brand-new, magical moment uses ground-breaking technology to illuminate Sleeping Beauty Castle with all the emotion of our 30th Anniversary.” I feel like the description does not do the final product justice.
The show combines video projections, illuminated water jets, lighting effects, mist, Disney songs, and drone choreographies. During the spectacular, 200 synchronized drones take over the sky forming a sparkling hidden Mickey-style “30” over Sleeping Beauty Castle.
The Video
Twitter user @CaveofWonders shared this amazing video on social media. And honestly, I am in love with it.
I can only imagine how awesome it would be to see this show in person. I may have to rethink my entire life so I can figure out how to head over to Disneyland Paris.
Final Thoughts
Disneyland Paris turned thirty and got an amazing new cutting-edge show. Walt Disney World turned 50 and got Enchantment. Something seems off here.
Will amazing elements like this begin making their way to shows in Walt Disney World? I surely do hope I live to see the day.
What do you think of the new Disney D Lights show? Do you hope to see this ground-breaking technology grace the Disney theme parks in California and Florida? Let us know in the comments or join our friendly crew to continue the conversation on Facebook.
