New Dining Options and a Makeover Coming to a Disney World Resort

Disney has plans to make one of its resorts even better! Check out the details on exciting changes coming to this wonderful resort.

Disney’s BoardWalk Resort

The BoardWalk Resort is one of the most unique resorts in all of Disney World! Not only is it a full hotel, but the actual boardwalk offers fun entertainment and plenty of dining choices as well.

Described as a resort that evokes turn-of-the-century boardwalks in coastal cities such as Coney Island and Atlantic City, the Boardwalk Resort has a theme that sets it apart from the rest.

The Cake Bake Shop

Waterside strolls will be extra special with amazing desserts and sweets at The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers. This new table service restaurant and bakery is expected to open in 2023.

Here, enjoy both savory and dessert items along with afternoon tea service. All of this will be wrapped up in a whimsical setting that complements the magical charm of Disney’s BoardWalk Resort.

Boardwalk Bakery Reimagined

And with this new sweet spot coming, BoardWalk Bakery will become a new sandwich shop for guests to enjoy a bite along the water’s edge. It joins other current food and beverage locations like BoardWalk Ice Cream.

Resort Makeover

Through the doors of Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, light and airy touches will added to the lobby, lounge and guest rooms, carrying the seaside breeze right inside. Just off the lobby, a new coffee bar with artisanal beverages and quick bites will be available to-go or in newly refreshed seating spaces inside or outdoors.

I (Susan) love staying at this fun resort but cannot wait for this makeover! Although the rooms are comfortable, they currently lack theming.
