Big Milestone for the Opening of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind

We are now closer than ever for the opening of EPCOT’s newest attraction. Check out this exciting milestone and see the opening timeline for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.

Opening Timeline

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is a family-friendly coaster features a ride vehicle that rotates 360 degrees. For the first time at a Disney Park, you’ll find a reverse launch!  Here, guests take part in an exciting chase through space and time! Be sure to check out this attraction video HERE.

We recently shared a look at the inside loading area of this attraction and the rumored height requirements. A reopening date was accidentally shared and immediately removed from social media.

It appears that this information was shared earlier than the Walt Disney Company had planned.  Find out more about the possible opening timeline HERE.

Big Milestone for Cosmic Rewind

EPCOT continues to be abuzz with projects at every corner it seems. The newest eatery, Connections Cafe, will open this Spring. This is amazing news for EPCOT. The newly reimagined EPCOT will soon be completed in 2023. Currently the Guest Service building is closed in the midst of this work. Be sure to check out the temporary Guest Service location HERE.

Each day more work can be seen at the site for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. It appears that the outside of this attraction is near completion. Currently on the My Disney Experience app, the entrance for the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is still fairly plain (as pictured below).

Today on the Walt Disney World website, we see an exciting change for this attraction. Now Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind has been added to this location.

In addition, many details have also been added to the outside of this structure. The most notable addition is the large Nova Corps Starblaster Ship located front and center .

This new update on the Walt Disney World website also includes an updated color scheme to the attraction building. In just a few weeks (months?), we will be excited to see wait times as Guests enjoy this new attraction.
