This favorite princess experience has been closed for over two years now. New signs may indicate it is returning soon!
Closed Experiences
While necessary for the survival of Disney Parks, we have been missing so many of our favorite experiences at Disney World. Thankfully, many of them have returned or are returning soon! Character meets, tours, parades, and fireworks all signal the comeback of Disney Parks after a hard closure.
One of the last few experiences to return (besides Mickey hugs) are spa and salon services. The spa and salon at the Grand Floridian only reopened a couple months ago. Those of us with small children are also anxiously awaiting the return of the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique
The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is an incredible experience for young children between the ages of 4 and 12 years old. Located at Magic Kingdom, Disney Springs, and the Grand Floridian, children are made up into their favorite princess or knight.
Knight makeovers include hair gel and a sword and shield. Princess makeovers are a bit more elaborate with make up, hair, and nails. And don’t forget that pixie dust and sash! My (Monica) two older children enjoyed this experience, and I am anxiously awaiting for this experience to reopen so my younger two children can have that same magic.
Reopening soon?
The Fairy Godmother may be granting our wish! According to internal casting calls, Disney appears to be gearing up for the return of the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.
Disney is hiring Cast for the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.
With the successful reopening of spa and salon services, Disney may be ready to bring back the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. However, we are unsure what modifications could be in place and when this experience may return.
It has been a long two years without the princess and knight makeovers, and many of us parents hope it returns before our children age out of the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique experience. Stay updated with our blog, and we will be sure to share any official information from Disney as soon as we know!
