Delicious and Adorable Items
On my visit, I grabbed a hot cross bun, a chocolate bunny, and a cream cheese carrot cake.
The hot cross bun is similar to a cinnamon raisin bread in bun form. It is a spiced sweet bun with a cross on top and a sweet glaze. It is an enjoyable and fresh treat!
The chocolate bunny was large and decadent. Parts of the bunny were solid, while the center part was hollow. The chocolate was thick enough that I experienced very little melting after bringing the bunny back to the Magic Kingdom for a few hours.
However, I would strongly recommend enjoying this treat in the lobby of the Grand Floridian amongst the beautiful decor or bringing in back to your air conditioned room as soon as possible!
My favorite item from the Grand Cottage was the cream cheese carrot cake. Served as a small loaf cake, this treat was the perfect combination of spice and sweetness. The cream cheese keeps the cake from becoming too dry and the carrot cake had an excellent spiced cake flavor.
Overall, I would definitely recommend a stop at the Grand Cottage. It is only a monorail ride away from the Magic Kingdom! Do you plan to visit the Grand Cottage? What are your thoughts about this new holiday offering? Comment below or on our Facebook page.
