Opening of Cosmic Rewind
Last week, we shared a first look at the Galaxarium located in the queue of Cosmic Rewind. Check out this first look HERE. Guests waiting in this queue will experience amazing views in this immersive queue. We have also shared a look at the inside loading area of this attraction and the rumored height requirements.
We now FINALLY have an opening date for this new attraction. Check out the official date HERE. Along with this opening timeline, select groups can register for preview dates for this attraction.
Now we can see our first glimpse of the Lightning Lane access points for this attraction.
Touch-Points Revealed
With the opening date now announced, many Guests now wonder if a virtual queue will be available. We have seen a virtual queue with the opening of Rise of the Resistance in Galaxy’s Edge. This attraction offered a virtual queue until the new Disney Genie program was announced.
Guests could also use a virtual queue to enjoy Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in EPCOT. At this time, Disney has not announced if a virtual queue could be used for the much anticipated Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind or if this will simply be available to purchase with the Individual Lightning Lanes.
Regardless of which system will be used, touch-points are needed at this attraction to allow Guests access in for the virtual queue or the purchase of the Individual Lightning Lane.

Today, we have our first look a the touch-points (pictured above) for the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind from Disney Imagineer Zach Riddley. As with all other aspects of this attraction, the newly revealed tough-points are perfectly themed.
Riddley shares, “One of my favorite aspects of this attraction is the broad range of design elements throughout the entire pavilion, from the massive scale of the Starblaster out front to the unique EPCOT icon designed for the pavilion. There is so much more to share, but that will come soon.”
