Check out what should have been one of the best Disney 50th desserts. See why it didn’t live up to the hype or pictures.
Disney World 50th Anniversary
Disney World is half a century year old! Disney celebrates the last 50 years of making fun memories. You’ll find yourself singing the catchy theme song “You are the Magic” even after you leave.
Disney shares so many new things from statues and food to new parties and cavalcades. This 18 month celebration is just getting started. If you want to see all of the festivities, try and visit before it ends in the spring of 2023.
It is such a huge milestone for Disney World. Check out our guide to everything that’s going on during the 50th Anniversary celebration HERE.
Location of New Treat
Disney World has released so many new 50th Anniversary treats. Many of these have had mixed reactions from the KtP writing team. You’ll find these special treats at Disney Resorts, Disney Springs as well as every Disney World theme park.
The latest sweet treat I (Susan) tried is located on the hub beside Cinderella Castle inside Disney’s Magic Kingdom. Once you’re here, look for the red kiosk to the left looking toward Cinderella Castle.
Disappointing Treat
I was super excited to try the 50th Anniversary Main Street Churro. The description stated it was rolled in cinnamon sugar, dipped in chocolate, drizzled in caramel sauce, and topped in crushed pretzels. Here, the presentation is just gorgeous and made my mouth water.
However, it doesn’t matter what amazing flavors, if the churro isn’t fresh. While I imagined an amazing churro, this wasn’t the case. It was a little hard and chewy, not crispy or light. I was so disappointed that the stale churro ruined the complete dish! Hopefully, you’ll have better luck if you give it a try.
Stale churros made this 50th anniversary treat a huge miss.
Cart Menu
In addition to the Main Street Churro, you’ll find Mickey pretzels, cinnamon-glazed nuts, cotton candy and an assortment of frozen treats. Water and other drinks are available here also.
Have you tried the chocolate churro, or other 50th treats? If so, did you enjoy them? Please tell us about it in the comments below or on our Facebook page.
