I (Monica) know I am not alone in saying that when Disney announced the many changes coming to the parks upon reopening I was shocked. I remember sitting there listening to the conference with Orange County contemplating just how different our experience in the parks would be.

Everything changed. Temperature screenings, masks, parades, park passes, fireworks, and characters. Even something like dining plans which felt like it had nothing to do with a pandemic was stripped from us. It was truly a shock to get used to.

With the return of normal character meets and character dining today, April 18, it feels we have jumped a major hurdle. Yay for Mickey hugs!

Previously, the only indoor meet at Epcot was Mickey at the Pixar Film Festival, Vanellope and Joy, and Anna and Elsa in Norway. All other princesses and characters met outside.

Jasmine has moved indoors in Morocco. Previously, she met Guests on a stage area along the main World Showcase promenade. She is now further back in the Lamps of Wonder dedicated meet area, pictured above. If you head towards the back of the pavilion, it is tucked in with the other shops.

Otherwise, many characters like Snow White, Aurora, Belle, and Alice have always met outside. Those will likely not change, but we will be sure to update if it does. What we do hope reopens is the Disney Visa Character spot!

It’s exciting times at Disney World as character meets return to normal!
