We now have an official opening date for Connections Cafe and Eatery at Epcot!
Connections Cafe and Eatery
Back in November, Disney shared a new restaurant would open at Epcot. Epcot’s new restaurant will be located in World Celebration. It will sit just outside of Creations Shop, Epcot’s newly re-imagined flagship gift shop.
The restaurant will be called Connections Café and Eatery. Josh D’amaro stated that, “It is going to be incredibly cool.” The idea of the cafe is that it brings people together around the common unifier of food. Every design element will work together to tell a story.
It is a quick service restaurant, which is fantastic news if you do not want to have to grab a reservation to eat there! Here is a look at the menu.
Starbucks will call the cafe portion of the new restaurant home, and you can see a sneak peek of it HERE since it is now (soft) open for Guests!
Opening Date
Earlier today we shared a rumored opening date for the Connections Cafe and Eatery, which you can read about HERE. We were pretty close!
The cafe and eatery will officially open on April 27, 2022.
From Disney Parks Blog:
Get your appetites ready! Connections Café & Eatery officially opens April 27 at EPCOT. Insider tip: You may get the chance for a sneak peek if you’re in the park over the next few days.
If you enjoy food inspired by delicious cuisines from around the world, you’re going to love this new quick-service restaurant. Plus, who could pass up a beautifully decorated new space to relax in some air-conditioning? It’s a win-win!
A look inside
Connections (as I call it because Connections Cafe and Eatery is a bit of a mouthful) looks so beautiful inside! Disney shared some sneak peeks with us, and I love the giant mural. It also looks like there is a variety of seating options from tables to benches and little cushion seats.
Whether you prefer coffee or tea, people from all over the globe love sitting together to savor a brewed beverage. This idea is on prominent display in Connections Café through a colorful showcase of how various cultures enjoy their favorite drinks.
Also, can we talk about the floor for a second?! There are three original floor inlays inspired by Walt’s 1966 “Florida Project” site plans, where EPCOT was to serve as the literal and conceptual “center” of Walt Disney World. I love how they are connecting the past with the future in these incredible details.
