There are three official hotels at the Disneyland Resort and one of them is in certain need of an update. We have concept art to share of the new theme coming to this particular hotel.
Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel
Although I (Marisol) have never personally stayed at this hotel, we have visited on a few occasions as we would take our girls to the character breakfast at Disney’s PCH Grill. At that time, I remember thinking to myself that a retheme or an update would do the hotel some good.
Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel is a hotel themed after the section of Disney California Adventure it overlooks. Formerly operated by the Tokyu Group (opening in 1984 under the name Emerald of Anaheim), the hotel was purchased by Disney in December 1995, for a reported $36 million, and renamed the Disneyland Pacific Hotel. As part of the 1998-2001 expansion of the resort, it was re-branded as Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel.
Disneyland announced a retheme and also released concept art of the Pixar re-theme that will take place at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel. Disney’s Paradise Hotel will incorporate and take on the highly popular elements highlighting Pixar animation films throughout the hotel.
One of the aesthetics that guests will find in the lobby will feature a giant Luxo standing on the Pixar Ball.
It will also include a new “portal” into Disney’s California Adventure Park for guests staying at the hotel. In fact, a new walkway is currently under construction that will connect Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel guests to a convenient entrance into California Adventure Park.
Disney also announced that “early entry access” to the parks will once again be offered later this summer for guests staying at one of the Disneyland Resorts. This is great news!
