Good and evil battle it out in Sorcerer Mickey’s dream in this incredible open-air nighttime show. The musical includes 50 performers, stunning effects, incredible pyrotechnics, and dancing water. There are also so many familiar Disney characters from our favorite films to spot during the performance.

It has been a long two years without this show at Hollywood Studios. Ever since the parks reopened, many have wondered when it would return. Back in November, Disney shared we can enjoy the show once again sometime this year.

We still have no word on exactly when the show will make its return, but earlier today, we shared more details that were given, though everything we know so far remains pretty vague. We have heard possibly later this summer or maybe in the fall so far, but we do know it’s sometime later 2022.

However, as more details are slowly released about its return, we do know many of the scenes of the show will be updated.

New Show Sequence

In November, we learned that new scenes would be added to the show along with new sequences. However, nothing too specific other than that was given.

Disney has shared that Fantasmic will feature “a new show sequence featuring Disney characters – Mulan, Elsa, Aladdin, Pocahontas and Moana – in heroic moments, as well as new technical enhancements.”

The new sequence in Fantasmic will replace the Pocahontas scene.

The new sequence will replace the Pocahontas scene, and each character will have their own moment in the new scene. It will also replace the scene at the specific slot in the scene and be longer.
