An unexpected change in the schedule for Disney’s Festival of Fantasy Parade has happened today. Will this affect your plans for the day?
Disney’s Festival of Fantasy Parade
Magic Kingdom’s daytime parade, Festival of Fantasy is back! It did not resume with the reopening of Disney Parks in July 2020. While cavalcades replaced the parade, it appears both will now entertain Guests visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth. It currently runs twice a day.
While the parade has returned, it did return with several changes. You can read about those few changes HERE. Though there are a few changes to the parade, we are all delighted to see that Maleficent the Dragon is back!
Showtimes removed
Today, guests at Magic Kingdom have received a push notification regarding Disney’s Festival of Fantasy parade.
Both 12 pm and 3 pm showtimes for Disney’s Festival of Fantasy Parade have been canceled for today at the Magic Kingdom
Melissa Valiquette, Vice President, Magic Kingdom Park sent out the following message:
“On behalf of all of us here at Magic Kingdom Park, I apologize that today’s 12 PM performance of Disney’s Festival of Fantasy Parade has been canceled. Our 3 PM performance may also be canceled. Instead, we will present a special edition of the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade with some of your favorite characters along the parade route at our parade times. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day here at Magic Kingdom!”
Why were showtimes removed?
Disney’s calendar also has both the 12 PM and 3 PM showtimes entirely removed today. Why were these showtimes removed? According to KtP sources, there were too many call outs in the entertainment department today.
Hopefully the parade will resume tomorrow with its regular schedule.
