Disney is finally talking about Bruno and the rest of our favorite Disney characters entertaining guests in the Disney Parks. Hear how Disney plans to bring our favorite characters from the big screen to the Disney parks.
Encanto in the Disney Parks
Ever since guests started singing “We Don’t Talk About Bruno”, Disney has worked to incorporate Encanto into both Walt Disney World and Disneyland. We have seen this new hit animated classic at EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival, EPCOT’S Festival of the Arts, currently with Magic Shots, and you can even see Mirabel at Disneyland.
Not only can guests meet Mirabel at Disneyland, but they can also enjoy the brilliant Encanto float that is now part of the Main Street Electrical Parade. Also at Disneyland, Guests can enjoy a fun nighttime Encanto overlay of it’s a small world.
At Walt Disney World, guests can enjoy fun Encanto magic shots and fun addition to the Wonderful World of Animation over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We even have news that an Encanto attraction is coming to Disneyland. Can we expect to see more of our new favorite films incorporated into the Disney Parks from now on?
Disney Park Experience
In the past, guests could enjoy meeting many of their favorite characters soon after and sometimes even before Disney movies were released. In previous years, there has been a delay in seeing our favorite Disney characters in the parks. It seems as though a shift has been made in regards to bringing new films into the Disney Parks quickly.
Yesterday Christine McCarthy, Disney’s Chief Financial Officer, spoke at the Annual MoffetNathanson Media and Communications Summit. McCarthy shared that although both Disneyland and Walt Disney World have entertained guests for many years, the parks continue to evolve with popular content.
McCarthy shared, “Some of it will be transitory, some of it will be more permanent. Certainly, when we put a Marvel Avengers Campus, that’s more permanent, but we can do things with entertainment that really are relevant.”
Unfortunately, McCarthy didn’t expound more on how Encanto and other new films may be incorporated soon, but this gives us hope. It appears that Disneyland offers many great ways for guests to interact with new characters. At the Avengers Campus, guests could see a different Loki every week as his story unfolded through Disney+.
“Some of it will be transitory, some of it will be more permanent. Certainly, when we put a Marvel Avengers Campus, that’s more permanent, but we can do things with entertainment that really are relevant.”
Christine McCarthy, Disney CFO
We hope that McCarthy is correct that Walt Disney World may also enjoy these new characters shortly.
