The ride troubles continue at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

You won’t believe how long it took Kenny the Pirate to ride this attraction – with a Lightning Lane!

Rough day at Disney

This morning was kind of a mess at Disney World. Attractions like Test Track and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure did not open with the rest of Epcot. Slinky Dog Dash and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster also took a while to begin welcoming Guests as well. Read our story HERE.

While all of these rides are now up and running, another is down. Well, partially, at least.

Located in Toy Story Land, Alien Swirling Saucers is a jerky spin with the most adorable extraterrestrial creatures around. While this attraction boasts no height requirements, it can still be jarring for riders of all ages.

I (Monica) will be honest and say it’s been years since I’ve been on this ride. It’s just not my favorite attraction. While it doesn’t usually hold high wait times, most days you can wait about 30-45 minutes for it.

Unfortunately, that wait is much longer right now.

Kenny the Pirate is at Hollywood Studios this afternoon, May 19, and obtained a Lightning Lane for Alien Swirling Saucers. With a Lightning Lane, you can usually expect to get on the ride within 5-10 minutes.

However, that is not the case today. He actually ended up waiting 30 minutes to get on the attraction! Why, you ask? He shares that the ride is partially closed. About half of the ride vehicles are not currently in operation.

Additionally, one of the aliens that is not working is also missing the entire ride vehicle! Uh oh. We hope he can get fixed soon. Ooooo!

Would you wait 30 minutes for Alien Swirling Saucers? What’s the longest you have waited for a ride that wasn’t operating at full capacity? Let us know in the comments below and on Facebook.
