Want to enjoy the most magical rideshare option around Walt Disney World? Check out the return date for the Minnie Van Service.
Minnie Vans
Disney halted its paid rideshare service when the parks reopened last July. These stylish, yet overpriced to many, polka dot vans moved Guests around property and back and forth to the Orlando International Airport.
However, with many of the health and safety protocols essentially nonexistent, many began to wonder when this service may resume.
How does one get a Minnie Van? Disney partnered with Lyft so you have the option to choose one in the app. They are desirable due to the fact that they are driven by Cast Members and includes two child seats if needed.
Disney shared back in March that Minnie Vans are returning! This confirmed all of our past speculations. According to their TikTok video, the service will return this summer (2022). However, no further date is provided.
Last month, we saw the beautiful Minnie vans back out. Disney was shooting some promotional photographs. The SUVs are parked right in front of the Boardwalk Resort hotel entrance.
Return Date
The great news is that we now have a return date for the Minnie Van Service.
Starting June 29th, guests can book a Minnie Van using their Lyft app to be transported all around the Walt Disney World Resort.
This is welcome news to many guests visiting Walt Disney World! Many Guests like to use them for drop off service at the Magic Kingdom. Any non-Disney transportation has to park at the Transportation and Ticket Center, and Guests must take the monorail over to Magic Kingdom. Like Disney buses, however, Minnie Vans drop Guests off right by the security entrance!
Have you enjoyed a ride in the Minnie Vans previously? Do you think they are overpriced or just right? Will you be catching a ride when they return this summer? Let us know in the comments below and on Facebook.
