Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind
This new family-thrill coaster matches the fun and thrill of the blockbuster “Guardians of the Galaxy” films. It features our favorite cosmic outlaws: Rocket, Groot, Drax, Gamora, and Star-Lord (a.k.a. Peter Quill). The one-of-a-kind attraction is another milestone in the ongoing transformation of EPCOT.

But why EPCOT?
Many have raved about how amazing this new attraction is, but why EPCOT? Disney Imagineer, Alex Wright explains, “Since inception, EPCOT has always been about community.” EPCOT is now expanding that community a bit further as we meet the inhabitants from Xandar.
As you enter the queue for this attraction, guests are invited to a classroom like none other. The Galaxarium is a breathtaking display that teaches as well as prepares guests for the attraction they are about to experience. The Disney Imagineers created this space to bring both the “science and the fun” for each guest.
Disney Imagineer, Kelsey Roberts, shares, “Yes, it’s Guardians of the Galaxy, and they are known for their sense of humor, and that’s in here. But you are also learning each step of the way. You’re learning about our universe and their universe (Xandar).”
The awesome part is that all you Disney fans will also learn more about the history of EPCOT in the queue for this attraction. I (Donna) will admit that at first, I didn’t quite understand how Cosmic Rewind fit in at EPCOT.
