Do you enjoy the Disney Parks at night? You will want to check out the surprising early closure of Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Disney Parks at Night
There is nothing quite like nighttime in the Disney Parks. The Parks truly comes alive at night with illuminated attractions and magical nighttime entertainment. As Guests prepare touring plans for an upcoming trip, they often consult the crowd calendar on Character Locator and the hours for each park.
Park hours remain somewhat consistent from week to week. Special ticketed events such as Halloween and Christmas parties can cause Magic Kingdom to close earlier on select nights. When Guests are planning their trips to the Disney Parks, these early Park closings are a big consideration in developing their touring plans.
As summer crowds begin to rise at Walt Disney World we also see extended park hours. Find out why Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be closing early tomorrow, June 9th.
Early Closure
Recently we have seen sections of the Magic Kingdom closing early for private parties such as back in March for Casey Jr. Circus and recently at Under the Sea: the Journey of the Little Mermaid.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom is set to close for guests at 6:00 pm on June 9th.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom transforms as the sun sets and the Land of Pandora comes alive. Unfortunately, general guests visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom on June 9th will not be able to experience the true beauty of Pandora at night.
Fortunately, there is a beautiful reason for this early closure. A private event for the Special Olympics USA Games is being held at Disney’s Animal Kingdom from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm.
If you are planning to visit Disney’s Animal Kingdom on June 9th, you will also want to be aware that guests attending this private event will be able to enter the park at 4:00 pm.
This early entry may cause higher crowds towards the end of your shortened day at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Although we are not in favor of early park closings, we do love that these participants will receive a truly magical evening at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
